1. Who We Are
SteamReport.net is a community player reporting tool for Steam games. We allow users to look up Steam player profiles, view public statistics, and submit structured incident reports. SteamReport.net is not affiliated with Valve Corporation, Steam, or any game publisher.
2. What We Process
2.1 Report Submissions
When you submit a report, the following non-personal data is recorded:
- The target player's Steam identifier (SteamID64, SteamID, SteamID3, or profile URL)
- The report reason (e.g., cheating, harassment, scam)
- Any additional context or description you provide in the report form
- A timestamp of when the report was submitted
We do not collect your Steam account login credentials. Reports are submitted without creating a user account.
2.4 Giveaway & Referral Anti-Abuse Data
To protect giveaway and referral integrity, we process limited technical anti-abuse signals:
- Hashed browser/device fingerprint identifier
- IP-derived duplicate checks (used to prevent repeated self-referrals and abuse)
- Referral attribution and session cookies required to track valid entries
- Timestamps and rate-limit events for fraud prevention
We use this data only for security, abuse prevention, and fair giveaway operation. We do not publish this data and do not use it for advertising personalization.
2.2 Player Profile Data
When you look up a player, we retrieve publicly available information from the Steam Web API, including:
- Profile name and avatar
- SteamID formats (SteamID64, SteamID, SteamID3)
- Profile visibility and account creation date
- VAC ban status, game bans, and trade ban status
- CS2 game statistics (if the profile is public)
This data comes from Steam's public API and is cached temporarily to reduce API calls. We do not store permanent copies of player profiles.
2.3 Third-Party Stats
If available, we may also display data from Leetify and Faceit. This data is fetched in real-time from their respective public APIs and is not permanently stored on our servers.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use a minimal set of cookies and browser storage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Cookie | Session management and form security | Session (deleted when browser closes) | Essential |
| sr_csrf | Cookie | Form security token for report submission | Session | Essential |
| _ga, _ga_* | Cookie | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique visitors | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| _gid | Cookie | Google Analytics — distinguishes users | 24 hours | Analytics |
| sr-theme | Local Storage | Remembers your chosen visual theme | Persistent | Functional |
| sr-cookie-consent | Local Storage | Remembers your cookie consent preference | Persistent | Essential |
| sr_ref_code, sr_attribution_code, sr_vid | Cookie | Referral attribution, giveaway fraud prevention, and cross-device recovery flow | Up to 30 days | Essential (Giveaway) |
Essential cookies are required for the site to function securely. They cannot be disabled.
Giveaway and referral features require essential cookies to work correctly. If cookies are disabled in your browser, giveaway entry and recovery actions are unavailable until cookies are enabled.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are only loaded after you give consent via the cookie banner. If you choose "Essential Only," Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled and do not use it for advertising or remarketing.
4. How We Use Your Data
- Report submissions are used to compile reports against Steam players and may be forwarded to Steam's moderation system through the Steam Web API.
- Analytics data (when consented) helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- Session cookies secure form submissions against tampering.
- Referral anti-abuse data is used to detect duplicate/fraudulent giveaway referrals and protect entry fairness.
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Sharing
- Steam (Valve Corporation): Report data is submitted to Steam through the official Steam Web API.
- Google Analytics: If you consent, anonymized usage data is processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable.
SteamReport.net does not run a user-account system and limits personal data collection, but we may process technical identifiers (such as anti-abuse signals for giveaway/referral security) and optional contact data you submit for giveaway claim/recovery workflows.
Any personal data processing that occurs on this site is performed entirely by third-party services:
- Google Analytics — processes anonymized usage data (only with your consent)
